This is chapter 3.  It's a bit slow-moving (lots of exposition), I think, but it'll get better.

This has been on my hard drive for awhile, half-done, and I  don't like having it sitting there unfinished.  So I'm putting this first section out there and hopefully I'll be inspired to finish! It's a different one, for me.  See what you think.  River and Jayne have had a platonic working relationship for three years since Miranda.  They've both changed, but hopefully they won't be unrecognizeable.  

 So here's the tattoo fic to finish up -- once and for all! -- the Sleep Study series. Yes, I mean it, this is the end.  Hope you like it.
